Rebranding
Rebranding is the technique of channging a companies image by first chaing the marketing strategy and symbolism attached to it.
When some symbols are shown or discussed they instantly call to mind a specific company. When one says "swoosh" the first company that comes to mind is Nike, the golden arches bring out McDonald's and particularly the bitten apple quickly calls to mind Apple computer.
